NOVEMBER ACTIVITIES/EVENTS

WEDNESDAY, NOV 11th DS ROTARY CLUB HOSTS VETERAN’S DAY TRIBUTE
The Dripping Springs Rotary Club holds its annual Veteran’s Day Tribute on Wednesday, November 11th. The tribute will be held at Texas Hearing and Service Dogs Pavilion located at 4925 Bell Springs Road from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Members of the local VFW Post will bring flags and ‘post colors’. Following a special recognition of our local veterans, Penny Reeves-Goff will emcee an evening filled with a variety of entertainment and patriotic songs. The Hill Country Band will showcase a repertoire of marches and historical war tunes. The DSHS Jazz Cats, Head to Toe Dancers and a Fiddle and Guitar group of local school children will also take the stage. Rotarian ‘top chefs’ will prepare dinner for attendees and a lively silent auction will add to the fun – and help the Club raise scholarship funds for college-bound seniors. While food tips are welcome, the event and meal are free to the public. For info: Bonnie Rose at 512-894-3944 or Karen Ford at 512-922-8234. JOIN US IN HONORING OUR LOCAL VETERANS

NOVEMBER 7-14 SHOOT DRIPPIN’ ARTS PROJECT
Community Creative Alliance is organizing “Shoot Drippin’!”, a Public Arts Project for Dripping Springs.
During the week of November 7-14 they are asking everyone in Dripping Springs to help create a digital portrait of our community. What makes this home to you? What do you love about our hill country and town? We all know it’s a special place, but what makes it special to you? If you’ve got a cell phone, you’ve got a camera! There are no limits on the number of photos you can send, and they are seeking participation from all ages.
Their goal is to get people involved in the creative process (think large scale group art therapy!) and hope that everyone will get out there and Shoot Drippin’!
