Hello Readers,
I just wanted to take this time to thank all the Veterans that help to make America the best country in the world!
Happy Veterans Day! This day is to celebrate all the men and women that have served in our armed forces. Veterans Day became a US holiday at the end of WWI, and used to be called Armistice Day. It is a day, “dedicated to the cause of world peace and to be hereafter celebrated and known as ‘Armistice Day.’” A day to commemorate the veterans of WWI.
After WWII, Armistice Day was changed to Veterans Day to acknowledge all the men and women who served in all wars.
In 2001 the week of November 11-November 17 was declared National Veterans Awareness Week.
Veterans Day honors all men and women who served in the armed forces; Memorial Day honors men and women who died in service to their country due to battle.
Let us celebrate Veterans Day in honor of the men and women who severed during times of war and peace.
