WEDNESDAY – FEBRUARY 10 City Needs Public Input on Comprehensive Plan
Focus Group Meetings are scheduled to gather additional Public Input on City’s Comprehensive Plan. Focus Group Meetings are underway for more targeted discussion on specific issues and topics that will be addressed in the City’s Comprehensive Plan update, beginning with a meeting on “Infrastructure”, Wednesday, February 10th, 6 p.m. at City Hall.

THURSDAY - FEBRUARY 11 DS LIBRARY HOSTS ANNUAL MEETING
DS Library Friends Host Annual Membership Meeting, Feb. 11th at 6:30 p.m. in the Dripping Springs Community Library, 501 Sportsplex Dr. “This meeting offers the community an excellent chance to get to know the Library Board of Trustees and the Friends of the Library board, and to become involved with the organization itself. “We have several board positions to fill, so we urge you to attend if you have any curiosity about what you could do to help the Friends of the Library continue its important role in our community.” From 6:30 to 7 p.m., the Friends will serve hors d’oeuvres and punch. Then, with thanks to all the generous patrons and hard working volunteers who have made it possible, a check for $10,000 will be presented to the library Board of Trustees. SATURDAY – FEBRUARY 13 Free Widow’s Valentine Luncheon
On Saturday, February 13th, at noon, the Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Dripping Springs are hosting a free Valentines Luncheon, honoring all the widows in the Dripping Springs community, not just those at the church. The church is reaching out to the women in our community who might otherwise be overlooked during this weekend of sweethearts. The Deacons, their wives and The Well Youth Group will be serving lunch. Deacon Johnny Hudson, who will serve as the master of ceremony, promises good food, fellowship, and music to mark the afternoon together. The Luncheon will be held in the church Fellowship Hall. If you need transportation, please contact the Church office at 512-858-4270 NO LATER than Wednesday, February 10th. The event is free to all widows and begins promptly at noon and will conclude at 2 o’clock.

Candidates must have experience with LANs, Server200/2003, WinXP, Linus, and be confident with troubleshooting and fixing hardware issues. Web development and design skills (Adobe CS4) a plus. Circulation and assisting patrons and staff with technical issues. Customer service skills helpful. Requires a BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university. 2 yrs. experience working in a library or other educational setting is preferred.
